Built by Parents Who Wanted More
OUR STORY
STEAMLabs Kids was born at our kitchen table, inspired by our son’s early passion for science and engineering. Seeking programs that would truly challenge and inspire him, we found local options too narrow, passive, or limited in scope.
Determined to provide more, we developed our own hands-on, lab-based STEAM curriculum. What began as a family project evolved into a comprehensive enrichment program for grades K–6 — one that delivers rich, well-rounded learning experiences across science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
Locally owned and operated by parents who are deeply committed to experiential education, STEAMLabs Kids empowers children to build, discover and grow.
WHO WE ARE
Keith is a U.S. Navy veteran and former tech professional with extensive experience in engineering, product management, training, and management. He brings a disciplined builder’s mindset to every aspect of STEAMLabs Kids — from curriculum design to daily operations.
Di is a Senior Manager at a leading design and make software company, where she partners with top-tier universities' engineering and design programs. Her deep insight into preparing the next generation of makers and creative problem-solvers directly informs our program.
Together with our children — our oldest son, who is homeschooled and actively involved in building the business, and our youngest, who enjoys hands-on activities — we moved to El Dorado Hills from the San Francisco Bay Area five years ago. STEAMLabs Kids is our commitment to giving back to this community by providing high-quality, hands-on STEAM education that prepares local children for future success.
MISSION STATEMENT
At STEAMLabs Kids, we empower every child in our community to BUILD, DISCOVER and GROW through hands-on STEAM adventures - creating with their hands, collaborating as teammates, and gaining lasting confidence that comes from solving problems on their own.
